What’s your favorite part about working at Liz Lovely?

There are so many favorite parts – working on a team that I believe in, learn from, and strive to be better for is truly a gift and I’m extremely thankful for all of them. I also love the growth within the company, my job has been able to change, evolve and grow. There’s always something new around the corner.

What my typical work day is like:

It's never very typical. I start by checking in with the office and shipping crew, see what orders need to go out, or calls need to be made and I adjust everyone’s schedule to match the day.
I then spend a good portion of the day dealing with any customer issues, payments problems, big Distributor orders and freight set up. Lots of emails and phone calls.
Then I work on all my projects, this could include inventory adjustments, web site issues, chain store collections work and company/Liz projects.

Why Vermont?

I grew up here, then couldn’t WAIT to move away for college…sure enough right after college I came back. My parents and my brother live here, my husband is from here – there’s no place like the Mad River Valley in Vermont, and I can’t imagine raising my children anywhere else. It’s now a part of me.

What’s fun?

My family. I’m very close with my parents and my in laws. We have dinner and drink parties often. My husband and I just had our first child in June (2015), Max. He's our everything.  I’m also VERY much obsessed with my 2 rescue hound dogs and my husband and I tend to include them in everything we do. Camping, hiking, snowmobiling, photography, and outdoor get togethers. I love all types of games as well, board games, lawn games, drinking games…all fun to me!

What’s your favorite part about working at Liz Lovely?

All the opportunities to travel and teach people about an amazing Vermont product!

What my typical work day is like:

Slingin’ cookies across the country, being a road warrior in New England or crunching numbers at my desk.

Why Vermont?

There’s no place like home. The warm summer nights, cozy winter days and maple flavored everything doesn’t hurt either!

What’s fun?

Wine tasting with great company.

What’s your favorite part about working at Liz Lovely?

The people!  The lovely ladies I work with are powerful, inspiring women.  I am always learning from them.  We also have awesome customers who are enthusiastic and supportive of our brand and mission.

What my typical work day is like:

I can't say I ever have a "typical" day -  that's my other favorite part about working for Liz Lovely.  Each day always brings something new and unexpected.  I'm the main point of contact for our Wholesale customers, so I process Wholesale orders and check in with these customers periodically.  I also provide Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable support in the office along with other administrative tasks.  I'm now learning to order ingredients and schedule when products are produced.  I really love the variety in my daily tasks and the new opportunities that arise as Liz Lovely continues to grow.

Why Vermont?

I grew up in Southern VT and headed north to Burlington for college. I love the scenery, the culture, the food and the people too much to live anywhere else.

What’s fun?

Adventuring - running in the woods, hiking the mountains, playing with my dog, driving the beautiful dirt roads around the state.  I also love to cook and spend most of my free time in my kitchen.

What’s your favorite part about working at Liz Lovely?

Besides the copious amounts of cookie dough surrounding me? I work with fun and enthusiastic people who come to work to bake cookies!

What my typical work day is like:

I get to work a little before the bakers, turn everything on and get things ready for them to start baking. Once the dough gets mixing, I oversee each station making sure that we can produce the amount of cookies that the public is demanding, from the mixing, the forming, baking and packaging, my day revolves around cookies.

Why Vermont?

For all of the cliche reasons! We get all 4 seasons plus 1! I love all of the activities that come with every season, and being able to go from hobby to hobby without getting bored. The beauty is hard to beat.

What’s fun?

EATING of course! I love to cook, bake (with gluten!), garden, its always fun finding delicious VT beer, exploring vineyards and going to new restaurants. My lovely man-friend Kyle and I spend a lot of time outside in the fall and winter doing all sorts of things like snowboarding, snowshoeing, primitive biathlons (definitely not something I would have ever thought I'd be doing), and hunting. We also raise chickens and between our two familes we have 3 Boston terriers, 1 golden lab, 1 golden retriever, his black lab mutt Atticus, and our mutt of a pup Kona. My life involves a lot puppy love. Gotta love spending time with the family too !

What’s your favorite part about working at Liz Lovely?

We really do have a great group of people working here. I Also enjoy the fast paced atmosphere.

What my typical work day is like:

My tasks for the day vary with each cookie. I could start out my day doing anything from mixing the cookie dough to tempering the chocolate. From start to finish I work as a baker while helping keep pace with the schedule. From ingredient to packaging, I can help answer your question.

Why Vermont?

I was born in Vermont but traveled a lot as a kid. I knew from a young age Vermont was where I wanted to be. The crisp mountain air and genuine respect for craftsmanship is a place I love to call home.

What’s fun?

I really enjoy being outside getting great exercise with my dog. My summers are packed full of camping and home improvement projects but when winter hits I can't find my ice skates fast enough.
